Mount Hope Community Organization

Prairie Festival 2024, “Back to the 80’s!”

Prairie Festival, is our largest fundraiser of the year! The Prairie Festival fundraiser provides support for the people and community of Mount Hope, KS. Mount Hope Community Organization (MHCO) has a broad range of activities that it undertakes on a yearly basis. These activities include the Prairie Festival, Christmas Comes to Mount Hope, Summer Youth Food program, Summer Swim Pass, and an Easter Egg Hunt, just to name a few.

MHCO has been successful in bringing the community together. We have donated thousands of dollars, along with the City of Mount Hope and the Mount Hope Community Development Organization, towards a grant that we received in replacing and adding playground equipment to our city park, along with the other park in town. Along with the park equipment, MHCO has also purchased a communications sign which informs the community of upcoming events. Every year we also donate to the Project Hope Program that helps people in need.

Everything we do at MHCO is made possible because of the volunteers and the amazing support of our sponsors and donors. We pride ourselves on offering a range of entertainment that brings crowds in from all over, young and old!

We would like to invite you to be a part of our growing community tradition. Our Mount Hope Prairie Festival is always the third weekend in August. This year’s theme is “Back to the 80’s!”

For more information on how you can sponsor, donate or volunteer for the Prairie Festival contact Cara Grier, President of MHCO.

See you at the festival!
